September 2026 K-Dramas Lined Up: Full of Emotion & Thrill
The Scandal
Set in the Joseon Era, the story follows a devoted wife, Madam Cho, who lives a simple life. Her husband is quite a popular name in society. Despite her devotion, something is lacking in her life. She desires drama and attention, which in the current era is impossible. Often dictated to behave and ruled out of everything that she finds fun in, she vows to make some scandal in the city. She meets a man, Cha Won, who is known to have been seducing women but is also a known scholar; she challenges him to fall for a widow. A widow who has devoted herself to the duties of remaining chaste for life- will she be able to resist the charms of Won? Is the twist going to bring a new angle into the story after Cho finds something else is cooking?
The drama was earlier featured as a movie back in 2003. The story is reimagined in a new way, and the 8-episode series is set to release on September 18 on Netflix.
Love Other Than Yours
What happens when love starts to grow out of life? Will a decade-long love grow and fade? A story of two individuals who start to feel different from each other after marriage comes into question. Coming closer and growing apart, both try to navigate the real purpose of their relationship and start to feel a shift. Either this will end their relationship or take it to the next level—marriage. So what will they choose? Filled with a roller coaster of emotions, the series is coming to Prime Video September 12, 2026.
Mission Cross 2
An exciting sequel to 2024 Mission Cross is back with another mission. Husband and wife Gang Mu and Mi Seon are once again teaming up for an action-packed adventure. Retrieving the national treasure and bringing back the possession will not be easy. With thrilling and adventurous vibes, the movie is coming to Netflix in September 2026. The date is yet to be revealed.
The Ordinary Jackpot
Eun Tae, an ordinary office employee, has more patience than a mother. Living a life filled with insults and apologies, and living on a meagre salary, Eun Tae loses at peak times, but without a job, he can't buy food or have a roof over his head. One day he buys a lottery ticket and unexpectedly wins a whopping amount of 1.3 billion won. Now the world is at his feet; he can buy, live, and eat the way he wants, but this can't be enough to live a peaceful life. Making a tough decision to go back to work as usual, he changes his mindset and is reassured that this time, it's only to keep it low-key, but he doesn't have to worry anymore.
Based on the web novel Lotto Winner Also Goes to Work, the series is coming this September on tvN. It's slated for September 10, 2026.
Made in Korea Season 2
Following the incidents in season 1, Bael Gi Tae and Jang Gun Yeong are back to conclude what they started. The series is driven by power and ends on a tyrannical note in Season 2. A race against time where powers collide, and this time it's going to end for good. Gi Tae puts everything on the line, and his hunger for power is growing. Will this satiate his hunger for power, or is there more to it? After the first season, fans are eager to know what happens next, and this time it's double the drama and double the thrill. Based on the webtoon's namesake, the series will be available on Hulu and Disney+ on September 9 this year.
